Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to send you the original RAW files or is a flat export enough?

For the best results, we always prefer original RAW or LOG files — they contain significantly more dynamic range for us to work with. If RAW isn't available, a flat LOG export is the next best option. Standard compressed footage (H.264, H.265) can be graded but limits what's achievable.

What is a LUT and do I need one?

A LUT (Look-Up Table) is a colour preset that transforms your footage's look in one click. A custom brand LUT means every video your team produces has a consistent visual signature regardless of who shoots or edits it. If you produce regular video content, a custom LUT is one of the highest-value investments you can make in your brand's visual identity.

Can you grade footage for Netflix or broadcast delivery?

Yes. We deliver to all major streaming and broadcast technical specifications — Netflix IMF, Apple TV+ ProRes Master, Amazon Prime, BBC, ITV, and Channel 4 delivery specs. We provide full QC reports and handle HDR mastering including HDR10 and Dolby Vision on request.

How do you handle the handoff between editing and grading?

We accept picture-locked edits from any NLE — Premiere Pro XML, Final Cut FCPXML, or DaVinci Resolve timeline. We reconform in DaVinci Resolve against your original camera masters, grade, and deliver a finished master file plus all required delivery versions.
